Y3 trip to Kent Life

Y3 trip to Kent Life

Oct 28, 2020

Year 3 had a very exciting visit to Kent Life this term, as part of their studies of the Stone Age.  Despite the necessity for masks and increased hygiene and social distancing from the actors, the children had a thoroughly engaging time.  They met a Stone Age "Tribe member", learnt about hunting and gathering and how to make tools and weapons, and actually made some flour by rubbing together stones on grains.  It was so encouraging to see how much they learnt from the workshops and to hear how many of them tried making replica Stone Age tools at home afterwards.  Other highlights of the day included getting to know the donkeys and sheep on the farm, playing on the adventure playground and having a tractor ride.  Truly a great country day out!
