Join us in the Summer term at Inkhead creative writing clubs to build your child’s confidence and writing fluidity. Let them discover the joy of creating their own stories, crafting poems and letting their imaginations lose on the page. The theme this term will be The Secret Door and the focus will be on the plot and sustained attention. How can you bring your idea from fruition to execution The class will be built around focused technique development exercises, storytelling and improvisation games, examples from literature, and working on child-led projects with 1-2-1 feedback from the experienced writer leading the class. We will also run regular sharing sessions in the style of a traditional writing workshop, where children will practice essential skills in giving verbal feedback on their peers' work, and reading their own writing to the group with confidence.
