Year 1 went to Greenwich Park and had the most wonderful time exploring and enjoying nature. We began by finding a woodland area and having time to explore and build together. Some of us made dens, some made fairy houses and some even made a seesaw. We tried to make sculptures using flowers and twigs in the style of Andy Goldsworthy. After this we had lunch, we set out our picnic rugs and enjoyed eating outdoors with our friends. We ended the afternoon by making our way to the flower garden and playing some circle games. We were surprised with a special treat at the end of the afternoon, we tried some toffee. We have been reading the story ‘The Enchanted Wood’ by Enid Blyton and in the story the character Moon face loves toffee so it was nice to try it.
A lovely afternoon was had by all!
