Joining our Nursery

We know that choosing a Nursery for your child is a big decision! You want somewhere your child will grow as a young person and be happy. Here at Pointers we provide the foundation of your child's education, with a focus on building confidence, social skills and a strong academic foundation prior to starting in one of our four Reception classes. We take a bespoke approach to learning in our Nursery. Our teachers get to know each and every child, discovering what motivates them, whilst also encouraging excitement and wonder in learning. 

Our staff to pupil ratio is typically 1-8 and children are in one of two classes. A typical day will include traditional lessons such as numeracy and literacy but also lessons such as French, Music, Dance and PE with one of our specialist teachers. At Nursery, children start to build a platform for them to flourish when they enter formal schooling. We strike a healthy balance between academics and play so each child can grow and develop holistically. 

We want each and every child to leave us at 11 plus feeling they can take on the world, be anyone and do anything. The Nursery provides the starting point of this journey and instills a love of learning that will follow them through their 8 years with us.
