Reception and the Beanstalk

Reception has had such a lovely start to our new topic, 'Once Upon a Time'. We have been learning all about fairy tales and traditional tales, starting with Jack and the Beanstalk. What fun we've had creating our own mini books, beanstalk artworks and building castles in STEM activities!

We have also learnt about the artist Georgia O'Keeffe, and the children enjoyed creating their own beautiful flower paintings. The children observed all parts of a flower close up and represented them through the use of water colours and paint.

We are excited to learn about Princess Truly and Rapunzel next week, and we look forward to creating some masterpieces with wonderful hairstyles!
